A Comparable Experience? - Library Support for Franchised Courses in Higher Education

The Report is the result of a study carried out by the Centre for Research in Library and Information Management (CERLIM) and was funded by the British Library Research and Development Department. Its aim was to provide a clear understanding of how library services are being and could be provided to support franchised courses, how students meet their library and information needs, and what might improve the nature and level of library support.

Library and information service provision was firstly identified by a series of exploratory interviews with academic librarians, followed by more detailed examinations by means of two major surveys involving FEC and HEI librarians.
