Ferl
Ferl is an information service for all staff working within the Post Compulsory Education sector. It aims to support individuals and organisations in making effective use of ILT (Information Learning Technologies). Ferl does this through a web based information service, conferences, publications and other events.

LearnDirect
Plans to bring learning and skills into people's lives, University for Industry developed the learndirect service to change the face of learning for hundreds of thousands of people.

Learning and Teaching Support Network (LTSN)
The LTSN is a major network of 24 subject centres based in higher education institutions throughout the UK and a single Generic Centre. It aims to promote high quality learning and teaching through the development and transfer of good practices in all subject disciplines, and to provide a 'one-stop shop' of learning and teaching resources and information for the HE community.

Learning Skills Council
The Learning and Skills Council is responsible for funding and planning education and training for over 16-year-olds in England.

National electronic library for health
The National electronic Library for Health Programme is working with NHS Libraries to develop a digital library for NHS staff, patients and the public.

National Grid for Learning [NGfL]
A gateway to educational resources on the Internet. The NGfL provides a network of selected links to web sites that offer high quality content and information.

National Learning Network
The National Learning Network (NLN) is a national partnership programme designed to increase the uptake of Information and Learning Technology (ILT) across post-16 education in England.

NOF-Digitise
A comprehensive directory of all the web-based projects funded through the digitisation of learning materials grant programme.

People's Network Online
The People's Network is a project to connect all public libraries to the Internet, as part of the Government's commitment to give everyone in the UK the opportunity to get online. Lottery-funded by the New Opportunities Fund and managed by Resource, more than 4000 library centres will be up and running by the end of 2002.

Research Support Libraries Group
The four UK higher education funding bodies, in collaboration with the British Library and the national libraries of Wales and Scotland, have established a strategic advisory group on research support libraries, chaired by Sir Brian Follett. This group will advise on the development of a national strategy to ensure that UK researchers in all disciplines have access to world class information resources.
